Spanish giants Real Madrid have won the title of the most expensive club in Europe for the second time in a row. Ever-rivals Barcelona is third on the list.
Real Madrid is still the most expensive club in the world, behind Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. According to the KPMG Football Benchmark 2020 Club Review Report, Madrid tops the list of the top 50 elite clubs in the European League.
Famous financial advisory firm KPMG publishes European Elite every year. KPMG determines the value of a club based on its income, popularity, commitment, broadcasting rights, and the size and success of the stadium. According to the European Elite 2020, Real Madrid is at the top with a value of 346 crore 70 million Euros.
Manchester United is in the two with a price of fewer than 136 million euros. Like Real Madrid, they have maintained their position. However, Barcelona, which was in the top four in 2019, has now risen to three. Real’s arch-rivals are valued at 319.3 million euros. And even after the club’s value increased by 7% over last year, Bayern Munich has dropped to four (268 million euros).
After winning the Champions League, Liverpool also got a start in the Premier League. Manchester City and Chelsea are now in the top five, with Jurgen Klopp’s Fadl (265.6 million euros).
