Arsenal left the field with the hope of winning the English Premier League again. Despite scoring the first goal against Brighton Albion, they lost 2-1.
Arsenal took to Brighton’s home ground, Falmer Stadium, on Saturday. The goalless first half did not spread much excitement. Nicolas Pepe led the Gunners with a great goal in the 68th minute of the match. The Ivory Coast forward sent the ball into the net with a left-footed curve shot from inside the box to extend the score.
However, they could not hold this lead for long. Lewis Dunk equalized with a goal 6 minutes later. Then the game froze in the fight to move forward.
Neil Muppe cheered the hosts with a goal in the last minute of extra time. As a result, Arsenal left the field with a loss in both matches after the resumption of the league.
At this rate, Arsenal is in ninth place with 40 points in 30 matches. Brighton is in 15th place with 32 points.
